About Dr. Justin Liu, MD
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Justin Liu completed his undergraduate premedical training at the University of California at Berkeley, graduating with honors.  Dr. Liu received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Stanford University, with training in the fields of Interventional Spine, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Spinal Cord Rehabilitation, Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Post-Joint Replacement Rehabilitation and General Inpatient/Outpatient Rehabilitation.  

Dr. Liu is Board-Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.  From 2004-2009, Dr. Liu served as the Chair of Back & Trauma Rehabilitation for St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. During that time, he also maintained an active role as a Clinical Professor for the Stanford University Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program.  From 2009-2012, Dr. Liu served as the Rehabilitation Medical Director for John Muir Health in Walnut Creek, CA.  Since 2012, Dr. Liu continues to be actively involved in the clinical setting by serving as the Rehabilitation Medical Director for El Camino Hospital in Silicon Valley, CA.  Through his role as the West Coast Regional Physician Advisor for Kindred Hospital Rehabilitation Services, Dr. Liu helps elevate the standards and quality of Rehabilitation provided at multiple premier facilities across the country.

Dr. Liu has helped create innovative rehabilitation programs and has strived to push the envelope by creatively integrating technology into the rehabilitation process.  As featured by CNBC, CNET, KTVU-2 News, KRON-4 News, The Examiner, Military Officer Times Magazine, AsianWeek, World Journal News and Ebony Magazine, Dr. Liu has successfully implemented use of the Nintendo Wii to help treat patients who have sustained various neurological and musculoskeletal injuries.  Dr. Liu continues to further develop the field of high impact, cutting-edge rehabilitation through the use of revolutionary mobile technology and AI.
